Meet Kacee

I grew up on a little farm in small-town Wisconsin — the kind of place that teaches you to work with your hands, chase excellence, and love people well. I was the girl who threw herself into every sport and every activity, always drawn to building others up, long before I understood what I was actually being prepared for.
At twenty-one, everything changed. I gave my life to Jesus, and something in me caught fire. That single moment became the seed of everything I've built since — not just a business, but an assignment, wrapped up in one word I couldn't shake: purity.
I spent seven years serving alongside John and Lisa Bevere at Messenger International, learning what it means to carry a message and steward a calling. When that season closed, God asked me to move to Redding, California, and start building something new. I said yes, even though I had no idea what "new" would actually look like.
What it looked like at first was candles. What it was really about, all along, was a magazine.
The Heart Behind The Magazine
Here's the truth I don't always lead with: Beauty Is never started as a candle company. It started as a dream for a magazine.
I wanted to be a light in culture — to help women see that beauty was never something they had to perform, chase, or manufacture. I kept coming back to the story of Esther, and her year of purification before she ever stepped into what she was made for. Before the palace, before the platform, there was simply a season of becoming pure. That undid me. I began to believe the same was true for every woman: she doesn't need to add more to become beautiful. She needs to return — to what's true, clean, whole, and hers.
I wanted to build a place that would gently disciple culture in that truth. A magazine that would teach women a different definition of beauty than the one the world keeps selling them.
But a dream like that needs to be built, and I didn't have the means to start a magazine overnight. So I did what I could do — I started making candles by hand, in my ([sister's] shout-out to you lil sis!) kitchen, testing and failing and testing again. When the money got tight and the testing dragged on, I put on my shoes and walked those candles door to door, one house at a time.
I want to be honest about something: it was never really about the candles. Every door I knocked on, I was carrying something bigger than a product. I was walking toward a magazine that didn't exist yet, believing that if I could just get there, I'd have a platform to tell women the truth about beauty. The candles funded the dream. The miles built my faith for it. But the magazine was always the why.
Along the way, something beautiful happened. As I learned to build a truly pure candle — pulling out every toxic ingredient I could find, refusing to compromise even when it cost me time, money, and a few tears — I realized the process itself was teaching me the very message I wanted to put in the magazine. Purity was never about perfection. It's about being willing to remove what doesn't belong, one honest layer at a time, until what's left is clean and whole and true. That's what I did with the candles. Later, the same conviction shaped our pure perfumes. And that's what I believe every woman is invited to do with her own life.
So the products came first in timeline, but they were never the point. They were practice — a tangible way to live out, in my own hands, the deeper message I felt called to carry: that a woman becomes most radiant not by adding more, but by returning to who she truly is.
That's the heart behind everything you'll find here — the magazine, the candles, the perfumes, all of it. Beauty Is Purity. And this is where I get to invite you into the same story that changed me: you don't have to perform your beauty. It's already in you, it just may need to be polished and uncovered.
